Dr. Meda McClure grew up in the southwest MO area. Her family had everything from horses to rabbits. She has always had a talent for working with animals and has centered her life around the care and companionship of all species. She obtained her undergraduate degree at Missouri State University in Animal Sciences and Behavior while working as a veterinary technician. She then graduated with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University and spent her clinical year at Colorado State University. Dr. McClure then moved back to her home state and spent a few years as an associate in a mixed animal practice. There she had the opportunity to diagnose and treat many different diseases for a variety of species. It was here she saw the importance of compassionate geriatric care and critical need for gentle in-home euthanasia services in the area.
Greener Pastures’ helped my precious Molly pass in our home last year. Molly was terrified of going to the vet so letting her spend her last few moments calm and in the peaceful surroundings of her home was a real blessing. We found Dr. McClure to be very compassionate and truly care for the pets she helps.
Dr. McClure came to our home and performed a quality of life exam on our cat, Mittens. She helped us determine how much longer we had with Mittens and how to keep her pain free during that time. She also helped educate us on what signs to watch for when is was time to let Mittens go. We really struggled with the decision to put Mittens down but Dr. McClure made this an easy and smooth transition for all us.
