Greener Pastures Hospice Care is committed to providing full, equal, and dignified access to our services, facilities, and online resources for all guests, including individuals with disabilities.
Communication
We are committed to effectively communicating with every individual. Auxiliary aids and services are provided when necessary, at no additional cost. We accept Operator Relay Service calls and Teletypewriter (TTY/TDD) calls through 711 just as we do standard calls.
Website Accessibility
Our website is continuously updated using modern technologies that support accessible communication. We strive to meet usability guidelines in accordance with:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1
- Twenty-First Century Communications and Video Accessibility Act (CVAA)
We work to improve compatibility with assistive technologies such as screen readers and voice-control software, including Dragon NaturallySpeaking and similar tools.
Assistive Devices
Guests are welcome to use personal assistive devices to access our services. If a device is incompatible with our facilities, we will work to provide an alternative method that supports full and equal access.
Companions & Service Animals
Service animals, guide dogs, and companions are welcome within our facility. Our team will respectfully provide personal assistance when requested.
Interruption of Accessible Services
If we are temporarily unable to offer special services or accessibility features, we will provide notice and indicate when service will resume as soon as reasonably possible.
Staff Training
Our staff receives ongoing training to ensure respectful communication, assistance, and support for all guests with disabilities.
Policy Modifications
We will make reasonable changes to policies when necessary to support equal access to our services, facility, website, and communication channels.
